the literature program at the Universidad Mayor de San AndrΓ©s in La Paz (he was

history of literature in Bolivia, published in two volumes in 2002, in which
new milestones are proposed for understanding national literature. Her first
book, Attend Time, was prefaced by the poet Jaime Saenz who wrote for this
purpose: "Blanca WiethΓΌchter belongs to a new generation that bursts forth
under the sign of authenticity. /.../ Singing to the city is singing to
everything that the city implies. Such is the song in the poetry of Blanca
WiethΓΌchter. For in the midst of the enigma of the deep city; in the midst of a
vague inexpressible feeling, of joy and darkness, we always wonder what the
city will be like - how it will be the city". The poem 'Like an echo'
expresses: “Under your form / like a spring / the night rests / in the air. /
Your permanence / matured memory / extends / while your vigil / separates you
with the star / while my word / is torn apart / and poured / bursting / in a
cry of water.
